Project Description

The largest Holi Festival in New Zealand happens at the Hare Krishna Temple in Kumeu every year.

People throw coloured powders at each other to represent the colour and life this annual festival gives to the world. The huge cultural festival is marked largely in Indian culture by a relative relaxing of social strata, where people of different castes, ages, genders and classes can all celebrate together.

This event is managed by Rhythm House since 2013.
